This is the greatest book I have seen on organizing. It is incredibly informative, actionable and easy to read. I am going to send one to all of my friends and family members. There is so much great information on things that I never realized I was doing incorrectly. Ms. Platt has done an incredible amount of research to make it easy for her readers to get their lives in order. This book is so much more than an organizing book. It will inspire you to do things better and to take a more educated approach to one's world. The information is laid out in very easy to grasp nuggets. There are suggestions for short projects so as to avoid being overwhelmed. I was so inspired that I started cleaning our and organizing six years of garage clutter - not an appealing task. You will enjoy a much brighter world after reading this book. Enjoy!

Well photographed. Well organized- but not much new or thought provoking information.
I intended to get this as a Christmas gift and ended up getting a copy for myself and a friend as well! Great tips and ideas, and page markers in the back that are color coordinated. I originally thought they were stickers but they are not--they are just bookmarks. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for new ideas or remembering hints they have forgotten )
this is giving me some good tips and most of all inspiration to get organized.
If you want a book to get your home organized in a manageable way and everyone on the same page for visualizing your organized space, I recommend this book. The book presents a straight forward approach for organizing that tackles both the mindset of the disorganized individual and the areas of physical space in the home where many people struggle. Platt's "Fork Philosophy" for organizing a home will resonate with everyone from the kindergartener to the grandparent. The book is organized into color coded zones with helpful end tabs and includes great tips, thoughtful insights, good graphics, lists and one-hour projects which make this a book worth getting and sharing with the other individuals in your home.
My daughter and I both very organized, but we both agree that it has some great tips of things that we would've never thought about doing. It has been very useful. We love it. I would recommend it even if you are an organized person.

Was looking for a book to teach me how to deal with my over-abundance of stuff, all of which I'm interested in keeping. This author covers a million ways to store-access-organize-sort, and why things can be sorted each of those ways. Diagrams, layouts, explanations - all short and sweet and doable. Some org books exclude the method to the madness, some enforce times and places. All hints are totally logical, and easy to accept, adjust, or discard as relevant or not to my scenario. Great book, great read. No force fed agenda or protocols. For folks who like to sprawl their organization or keep it compact - rich or pennywise - a totall relevant book.
